They have taken scooters to a new level, from their electric to their kick scooters. The inventive build and design of kick scooters have taken the model to unseen levels. Freestyle tricks and ramp riding are now more common, due in part to the kick scooters, since they have the ability of being folded to take along anywhere. Razor has several series of scooters, including Pro's, Carvrs, Cruisers and Kiddie scooters.

A1 scooters are made for beginners to riding. It's the most inexpensive scooter in the A series, and it was created for a young or beginning rider. As you become more experienced, you may graduate to the A2 and A3 scooters. Each one of these scooters will cost a bit more than the previous one, but the ride and the quality increase as well. If you've been riding scooters for awhile, you would probably want to start out on the A2 or A3 scooters.

After you have grown in ability beyond the A series, the Pro model is the next in line. This scooter is a heavy duty model, and was professionally designed and then built by the team at Razor. You can feel confident on the ramps on this scooter, and in doing some freestyle tricks that you might not want to attempt on a lower level scooter. Check out YouTube for some great scooter riding, and you can see from the videos that scooters are not just for kids who have never mastered the skateboard. Scooters are a sport all their own. You can invent new stunts, crazy tricks or use high speeds to show off on your scooter. This isn't just a toy to ride on the sidewalk, since riding Razor scooters can be an extreme sport all its own.

If you love riding the sidewalks and hills, or cruising the side streets, you can find a razor for that, too. It's called the Cruiser, and it is built for the purpose its name implies. It has a wider deck and also larger wheels, with a more comfortable and smoother ride. Cracks on the pavement or rocks in your path won't matter to you, since the Cruiser will head right over them without a noticeable bump or bounce. Rocks won't cause your Cruiser to lose traction even at high speeds.

Razor's Carvr model has two smaller wheels, and in place of the single back wheel, it has a truck. This makes it easy to balance, and to ride wherever you want to go. The large wheel in front is like that of the Cruiser, and it makes the ride quite smooth.

Kiddie scooters are pretty much what their name says, scooters made for kids. They are built on a smaller scale than the larger scooters, and they are crafted with children's safety in mind. They are made from plastic, rather than metal, and they are the perfect Razor scooters for your young boys and girls to take their first rides on.

Chinese Scooters

Motor Scooter Reviews

chinese scooter parts

chinese scooter reviews

chinese scooters

chinese scooters for sale

motor scooters
<guid

You can buy them from many dealers online. These types usually fall into three separate classes, which are based on their engine displacement. These three classes are 50, 150 and 250cc.

A 50cc scooter is fine for short trips and errands to the supermarket and the like. Their top speed is generally 30 or 35 miles per hour. They work the most easily on roads that are level and smooth. If you're going to be headed uphill, your speed will slow down, which could hinder the traffic behind you.

The most popular Chinese scooter is the 150cc model. Most of these scooters use a motor that was copied from the engine that Honda used in the 1980's in their scooters. This size engine will give you a top speed of 50-60 miles per hour. You shouldn't have trouble keeping up with the flow of traffic in a 150cc, although steep inclines may still slow you down a bit.

The 250cc is the largest of the motors available on a Chinese scooter. Many of these use an engine that is water-cooled. Speeds can reach 65-70 miles per hour. If you'll be going any highway driving at all, you will need the 250cc.

When you are ready to purchase your scooter, you can either find a dealer locally or buy online. If you have a dealer in your area, look at the Chinese scooters they have for sale. If you can buy locally, you'll get a fully-assembled model, and you can even ride it before you buy. It will also be easier to register your scooter if you buy it locally. If you don't have dealers where you live, you'll probably have to buy your scooter online. You'll want to do your research first, so you don't end up being ripped off.

Lots of online dealers of scooters are drop-shippers. All this means to you is that when you buy from them, the scooter will actually be shipped from the factory or a wholesale dealer. So the dealer might not even see the scooter at all. If you want to find out if your seller is a drop-shipper, Google them and do a map search of their street address. If the address listed is in a residential area, they are probably drop-shippers. There's nothing inherently wrong in buying a scooter from a drop-shipper, just so you know. If your potential dealer only has a Post Office Box for a business address, don't deal with them.

Google your dealer's name, adding the words “rip off”, “scam”, “complaints” to your search. This will bring up any complaints people have had with this dealer. Watch the shipping charges you might ring up ordering online. They may be included in the price of the scooter you're looking at, but don't assume that shipping is included, if the ad doesn't say that. Chinese scooters sold in the U.S. should ship for about $275 or less, if they are shipped by truck.

Scooter Baskets

Scooter Accessories

electric scooter baskets

moped baskets

motor scooter baskets

rear scooter rack

scooter accessories

scooter baskets
<guid

They are made with materials of high quality so that your possessions won't be exposed to the elements. They will also allow you to carry lots of items at once, which can be hard to do if you buy more at the grocery store than you planned to. If you are tired of small items that fall out of cheaper baskets, select a scooter basket with small mesh or a liner, to keep even your smallest objects safely inside.

Everyone wants to be as organized as they can be, and a scooter basket will keep your items dirt, rain and dust free. You can bring materials from your home that you need to take somewhere, or head out to the mall and not worry about having no place to put the items you might like to buy. You'll be happy to show off with your friends and family, when they see how many things you can transport in your scooter basket.

Soft tiller baskets usually contain the same storage capacity that a standard scooter basket does, but they give you a top hatch with a zipper, among lots of features to help keep all your items out of view and safely stowed. Some deluxe systems have zippered pouches on the front, and others include inside, side and front mesh packets. Most scooter mount baskets are easily mounted behind or in front of the tiller section. Some may only be designed for either front or back installation.

Scooter baskets are quite handy, and they are quickly installed. If you need more space, especially when you are traveling, a motor scooter basket can be just the ticket to stow items in. Tiller baskets usually mount on the handles of the tiller, which gives you quick access to everything you are taking along. Most scooter storage baskets come with a standard hook and loop closure system, so that the basket won't swing when your scooter is moving.

You can also purchase basket liners if your current basket allows smaller items to fall between the wires. You can easily slip a liner in your basket and all your items will stay safely inside, without risk of them dropping out. The baskets and liners work for small items as well as larger items. Most liners can be added to the basket you already have on your scooter.

Some scooter type baskets are made with a quick release feature. They may come in two pieces, with a bracket to secure it to your handlebars. They often feature a handle that swings up, for easy carrying, so you can put your groceries away in your kitchen, when you're finished shopping. The heavy gauge metal wire is welded for safe carrying.

Other types of baskets may be hung on and lifted off, for easier removal when you wish to unload the basket. Metal baskets have a coating that is rust resistant, since they may be exposed to the elements while you are out running errands. These types are easy to put on and take off, yet are still firmly secure when you mount them. You can also purchase rear scooter baskets that have the option of being foldable. These mount easily on a standard rear scooter rack.

Used Motor Scooters

Motor Scooter Reviews

used gas scooters

used honda motor scooters

used mopeds

used motor scooters

used motorcycles

used vespa motor scooters
<guid

In addition, they may be concerned about the effects that we cause on the environment from burning fossil fuels. For whichever reason, lots of people are buying scooters, and finding them to be entertaining and fun, in addition to saving fuel.

Research the models and makes on the market before you buy a scooter. You can find quite a range of scooters, from those that are expensive even used, to those that are cheap, even new. The cheap models may also be made more cheaply, which is why so many shoppers look for mid-range models that are used. You'll save money when you buy used, of course, but there won't be as many models to choose from. Find out what kind of scooter you really want, and make a list of others that you would settle for.

Check sales ads locally in the free ad papers and classifieds, and be sure to see what Craigslist has available in your area. Lots of people put scooters on there if they don't need them anymore, or if perhaps they are moving in the near future. Scooters sell well, so don't be afraid to make an offer if you find one you like. You can check ebay, too. It's expensive to ship a scooter, but you may find local sellers there.

While you're online, check at the prices that used motor scooters are fetching, according to their model and how many miles they have on them. Then recheck your budget, to determine how much you can spend. What size of engine would you be happy with, and what size wheels? You may need to check insurance and licensing fees in your state, so look these up online, too. If you're not sure where to find this information, check out a scooter forum – there are some of them online, and the people are usually happy to help a future scooter-rider.

Once you have your money ready, and you know the basic type of scooter you want, watch your local ads closely. Contact sellers as soon as you can after their ad appears. For your safety, it is best to meet unknown buyers and sellers in public areas, like restaurants and the like. This is for your protection.

When you test drive your potential purchase, make sure it starts easily. Check for rust, and loose fittings or parts. Check the tires and ask how many people it can comfortably carry. Find out what kind of fuel it needs, and whether you need to add oil or not. Is the bike fun to ride and easy to stop? Ask the seller for any additional information he or she can provide, to help you make up your mind.

Find out about the timing of the bike's service, if any work has been done. Make sure there is a place close by that can make repairs, if you need work done. If you are sure that this is the bike you want, make an offer. You've checked online, so if the buyer is asking too much, offer a more reasonable price. If you really want it and they won't come down, you might go ahead and purchase it, if all else looks OK. You'll enjoy being in the company of other people who are having fun on used motor scooters.

Petrol Scooters

Gas Motor Scooters

electric scooters

gasoline scooters

mini moto scooters

motor scooters

oil scooters

petrol scooter 49cc

petrol scooter parts
<guid

Even if you need a full sized car to commute to work during the day, you can use a scooter for your short trips to the grocery or the park. People are becoming more aware of the damages to the environment that burning fossil fuels causes, so many want to make their carbon footprint a bit smaller. In addition, riding scooters is fun in good weather, and a chance to get out in the open air that you don't get when driving in a car. Scooters are easy to drive, and you don't need a special license, like you do for motorcycles. Almost anyone can hop on a scooter and be on their way.

Driving a petrol scooter isn't much different than riding a bicycle in many cases. Scooters generally don't go much faster than 35 miles per hour, so you won't have to worry about getting tagged for speeding. They are a great way to “start out” on two wheels, if you're not ready for a full-sized motorcycle yet. You can't ride scooters on highways, but you can ride them on city streets and side streets, where there is less fast-moving traffic to concern yourself with. Most petrol scooters don't have gears, so they are even easier to ride than a bike. In this way, it's easier for you to watch the road, with your focus only on the gas and the brake pedals.

With concepts that are this simple, it's easy to see why so many people ride a petrol scooter. In addition to being so easy to drive, scooters also have other benefits. Their fuel efficiency is phenomenal, and you won't notice the rises in gas prices like you do with a car. Your driving costs for a scooter will be so much lower. Motor scooters are handy for shorter trips, so you'll only have to drive your car to work and for longer trips. Of course, they don't have much room for anything more than a quick trip to the store, but you can use them whenever the weather is nice.

A petrol scooter is a smaller type of motorcycle, built on a special frame. The two wheels are small, and they may vary from ten to sixteen inches in diameter. Scooters have engines on the rear part of the bike, and they are not powerful enough to do much more than carry two small adults or one large adult. In many parts of the world, scooters have become an excellent alternative to conventional urban transportation, due to their low cost and comfortable driving position. They can be ridden by children or adults, although the children should be over sixteen years of age.

If your home is in a busy city, you'll welcome the chance to get out of the rat race and onto your scooter. They are exceedingly easy to drive, and they give you excellent mileage. Nearly everyone can afford one, and you can purchase them locally or on the Internet. Make petrol scooters a part of your days off, and enjoy the inexpensive ride in the fresh air.

BMW Motor Scooters

Motor Scooter Reviews

bmw c 1 cityscooter

bmw c1

bmw c1 scooter

BMW motor scooters

bmw motorcycles

BMW scooters

scooters
<guid

There were several models of this motor scooter available, including the Executive, Family Friend and Executive Two. The engines in these little fellows were made by Rotax. You could also add accessories by BMW, including anti-lock brakes, a sophisticated music system, a reading light, an immobilizer alarm system and a lockable glove box. You could also order a “sun roof” (the normal top was called a hard top), heated seat and grips, luggage rack and a pillion seat.

The BMW name means quality, and it was very obvious in the after market pillion seat kit. It gave you a seat and also stickers for safety, foot pegs and a kit that let you adjust the angle of the headlights as the angle of the bike tilted with added storage or a rider.

This scooter felt like a car when you looked at some of its features. There was a wiper with fluid on the windshield, and the passenger and roof cell gave you a bike with a center of gravity that was higher than most other scooters. For ultra-safety, a four-point seat belt held the driver against the backrest of the seat. Because of this, it took a bit of experience in slow speed maneuvering, until you were accustomed to the restraint.

The Family Friend model of the BMW C1 had a storage box, and was made to appeal to riders who used their BMW motor scooters on crowded streets. The innovation allowed you to have a scooter's convenience without many of the hassles and dangers associated with them. The BMW C1 had a great emphasis on safety. They tested this model in a head-on collision, and found that the C1 offered protection almost to the level of compact cars. BMW marketed the scooter as being so safely enclosed that the rider/driver didn't need a helmet. They accomplished this by the use of two roll bars at shoulder height, and a crumple zone built around the front wheel. They also built a safety cell enclosed by the aluminum roll cage. The twin seat belts were reminiscent of the harnesses used in aviation, to keep the driver firmly in place.

Some countries where the BMW scooters were sold decided that the use of the seat belts on these models together with wearing a helmet were unsafe, since the strain on the neck could cause injury even at low speeds. In the UK, they wouldn't waive the helmet law for these models, and they have shown low sales in that country. The designers of the C1 were sorry to find that the UK government was slow to see the change in the helmet law needed, when other countries were able to grasp the notion of an environmentally sound and convenient solution to personal urban transport. They felt that the pressure had been on manufacturers to develop transport solutions that were innovative, and which benefited the environment, and they wished that the legislators would have seen that a helmet and seatbelt system were not both required for safe commuting. The C1 sold over 10,000 units in 2001 but only 2000 in 2002, and they stopped making the C1 in October of 2002. Sadly for American aficionados, the C1 model of BMW motor scooters was never available in the United States.

Latest Piaggio Scooters

Motor Scooter Reviews

scooters
<guid

The scooter zooms across the city at a maximum speed of 77 mph and gives an excellent mileage of 65 to 70 mpg. The gas tank capacity is 2.6 gallons.

The BY Tourer 250 is available in two dynamic colors – Midnight Blue and Cortina Gray. They have come up with some really innovative and new designs for both of these models. Let’s take a closer look at each of these models.

Yamaha Zuma 125

Yamaha’s new Zuma 125 cc motor scooter is out. This four stroke engine, fully automatic motor scooter comes with an electric push button starter. The Zuma has a classy look and is also extremely fuel efficient. Yamaha estimates that this vehicle will provide 88 mpg and the fuel tanks capacity is 1.5 gallons.

The Zuma is not only stylish but is also extremely tough. It is made with a powerful steel frame that comes with brush guards added on the handle bars. The sturdy 12 inch tires provide immense stability and add to the overall looks of the Zuma.

The 125 cc single cylinder 4 stroke engine surprises everyone with the amount of power it generates compared to its small size. Yamaha uses wet-sump lubrication which increases reliability and makes maintenance easier. Another nice addition to get rid of grimy oil filters is the centrifugal oil filter that has been built into the crankshaft.

Other key features of the Zuma are the two bright halogen headlights that light the roads during the night time. Additional security is provided by Yamaha on the Zuma by adding a keyhole lock cover on the main switch. The underseat compartment has a large capacity and can easily fit a helmet and other things.

This Yamaha scooter costs $ 2,999.

Yamaha TMAX

The Yamaha TMAX pushes the boundaries of scooters and almost looks like a scooter-motorbike fusion. It comes with high power performance engine along with comfort and luxury.

The TMAX is powered by a 499 cc parallel twin engine which sounds like a superbike’s engine. In addition to these potent twin engines it has 43 mm telescopic forks, dual clippers and four-piston front brakes that mean serious business and are one of the best disc brake systems in today’s market.

The scooter’s chassis is made with low weight aluminum to allow better control and it has two 15 inch wheels that provide immaculate stability while riding.

With the amount of power this Yamaha scooter will generate it is not surprising that it is not the most fuel efficient vehicle around. The TMAX is expected to run 47 miles per gallon. The tank capacity is 4 gallons. This allows the rider to 188 miles of non-stop pleasure riding on this scooter-bike hybrid.

The design allows ample space for storage in its two glove boxes and a big saddle, which discloses abundant under seat storage. The motorcycle resemblance comes from large headlights, full-size gauges and a tall windshield. This Yamaha TMAX model is available in four colors – extreme yellow, high tech silver, stealth metal and midnight black.

Overall, this model is way ahead of any of its competitors with its style, power and features that have been pioneered by Yamaha.

This Yamaha scooter costs $ 7,999.

Top 3 Electric Scooters in Today’s Environmentally Friendly Market

Electric Motor Scooters

scooters
<guid

They don’t pollute the environment like the traditional motor scooters and they are also more silent and faster than before. Many companies have been working for years to come up with vehicles that will not only be pollution free but also economical and affordable to the common man. Let’s take a look at the top three electric motor scooters in today’s market

Vectrix VX 1

Vectrix was started in the year 1996 with a clear vision of providing clean pollution free, affordable and dependable mode of transportation within the city. All the engineers at Vectrix worked very hard for more than a decade with this sole aim in their minds. The recently released Vectrix VX 1, a zero emission vehicle, is the fruit of their dedicated work to help save the environment.

The VX – 1 was released in 2008 and a modified and better version of the same model was released in early 2009 as well. This silent beauty has a max speed of 100 km/h (62 mph). It goes from 0 to 80 km/h (0 to 50 mph) in 6.8 seconds. It comes in four exciting colors and also has an entire new line of accessories.

The most important thing you want to know is how much does it cost on a daily basis to ride this electric bike, just a penny a mile. With the oil prices set to sky rocket, gasoline is something you won’t have to think about anymore. All you need to do is charge your bike by plugging it into a standard 110/220 V outlet and you are all set to zoom; the average range on a single charge is 50 to 85 km (30-55 miles).
This Vectrix VX-1 model costs $ 10,495.

Zapino by Zap

The company name ZAP is an acronym for Zero Air Pollution and their aim is to help sustain the environment by providing pollution free vehicles.

ZAP released Zapino in the year 2008 and since then it has been the most attractive electric scooter in the market. This economical and stylish model allows you to maneuver around the city’ congested traffic at a maximum speed of 50 km/h (30 mph). Once fully charged its average range is up to 50 km (30 miles).

The Zapino model costs $ 3,495.

Volt Electric Scooter

Zero Emission motors latest launch, the Volt electric scooter has hit the market this year. The company’s aim was to provide environment friendly vehicles at affordable prices.

This cost-effective 1500 watt electric vehicle can move you around the city at 80 km/h (50 mph) for a distance of up to 50 km (30 miles) on a single charge. The wheels have tubeless tires and it provides a lot of storage space with space under the seat and a luggage rack on top. All the parts on the vehicle have a 90 day warranty.

The Volt Electric scooter is available in three color combinations, red and silver, black and silver and blue and silver.
This model by Zero Emissions Motors costs $ 1,759.

Schwinn Motor Scooter

Schwinn Scooters

motor scooters

motorscooter

schwinn laguna 50 reviews

schwinn mopeds

schwinn motor scooters

schwinn scooter accessories

schwinn scooter problems

schwinn scooter reviews

scooters
<guid
